I’ve just ordered my first two bento boxes from Japan via eBay. This is the beginning of something good.
I’ve always admired the Japanese sense of detail and careful preparation, especially in the kitchen. Only recently I discovered just how important the lunch box is to the Japanese and how much work is put into it. Soon I started surfing the Net for pictures of both boxes and prepared lunches and … well, how can you not be drawn in?
With my boyfriend getting a new job with 12-hour shifts, this is the time to start the crazy wild bento-making. I’ve ordered the boxes and set the wheels in motion. I already have lots of ideas and many, many recipes I want to try.
I’ll be posting pictures of my creations, pictures of boxes, recipes, ideas and all other things bento related. Weee! I can hardly wait!
